Dear Students and Parents.
We have been working out in Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish for many years. Couple of weeks ago we were notified that there are new regulations and in order for our class to keep on training we need to meet them. Unfortunately in order for us to meet new requirements, we need to do some work that takes time. We were asked to hold our classes until we meet new rules. This means that we will not have a class on Monday December 19 nor Wednesday Decembeer 21. We will be back Monday December 26 and December 29. Thank you for your understanding. This decision is not up to us. We need to understand that everything is changing and honor the request. We are working very hard to meet new requirements.
Instructor.

June 1-st: Last day of preparation for Adriana and David for their test, which is coming up Monday. Sanjin is showing basis of CPR and Elden is focused on "shocking techniques" , which are suppose to make the oponent feel "uncomfortable" while you are applying mass of other punches and kicks. David is helping Saba to be tested for his first degree. We are still checking out how long Saba have been coming to class, but is has been we believe a significant amount of time for him to be tested soon. Sanjin's explanation of CPR, it's purpose and basic application:

1. Lay the person down flat on their back

2 Lift their neck up so they are in the "looking up position

3. Pinch their nose

4. Release your breath into their mouth and wathc their chest expand.

5. Allow the victim to naturaly exale and repeat step #4, until the victim is breathing on their own.

5-th: Becuase of the number of students, which called in and said they will not be able to make it to class today because of the Memorial Day, there will be no class.

Massive snow

We wanted to see how the weather develops but there is still plenty of snow on the ground and driving conditions are risky. We have recieved several phone calls from students saying that they will not be able to come becuase the can not get through and some of their vehicles are under snow. Few of you did not go to work today and students who were suppose to recieve dyploma mentioned that they will not be able to make it. Becuase of the situation we will not have class today. I will see everyone on Wednesday. This picture was taken right outside of my window. More people are calling in saying that they can not come, even though the class has been canceled. Official weather warning untill 10:00 p.m. tonight.     .

Thursday is mostly relaxation day after two work outs. It is time for students to do some homework, meaning train on their own free time. Kung fu is wonderful becuase you can train it anywhere: at home, in the gym, outside in the backyard ( maybe now it is not such a good idea :) ) and even when you are away on your vacation. Please review in your head all the training we have done over the last couple of classes and improve on these techniques so coming Monday you will be able to demonstrate your skill even better. Our web site is growing , please take a look at the right hand side column, right under the picture gallery. There is some new information .

Good morning and welcome to idokungfu.com website dedicated to information about our Kung Fu School, where we promote healthy life style to all our students. Hopefuly you had a good night sleep and woke up early in the morning. Since there are many Polish students in our class I will share this saying with you: "Kto rano wstaje temu Pan Bog daje." meaning "These who wake up early are blessed with many things." and it is true "You snooze you loose" but we are up so it's not a problem. If possible start the morning with a walk outside or few excersises, healthy breakfast ( oatmeal for example ) and glass of water. Kacper Wojtowicz and Artur Ptak participated in a play which you can see by clicking on the link I will provide you with in few moments. Couple laps at the swimming pool and getting ready for our class tonight. Make sure you bring your training equipment please. I also have results on younger group student. Tonigh will tell you you passed and who failed. Hopefuly everyone did good. Chris, Rafal please make sure pick up your training gear this week. Off to the gym, see everyone in class. Wonderful class, younger group found our that all students passed  the exam. Jacob is going to Poland for three weeks. Have a wonderful time with your grandma. Older group trained self defense from gun attacks. These are of course advanced techniques, which are being introduced to students at this time. Have a wonderful night everyone and untill tomorrow.

It is going to snow overnight but we should be good to meet. They don't expect any school closing at this moment. We will be watching it closely. All the material from the test is being viewed at this moment and soon you can expect some comments about your performance. Once we go over it, learn from our mistakes we will proceed further. How was everyone's weekend? Anything exciting happened over Saturday or Sunday? If so please send your pictures to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and share them with us. 9:00 am snow is still on the ground by all looks good for the class tonight. Going to train on my own at this moment. Whenever you have a chance to train either by yourself or with someone else take advantage of it. I also like to keep in shape and train by myslef or go to swim like I am about to do this morning. The more activities you do, the better it is for your overall health. Don't forget to bring your jumping ropes to class today. We want to make sure that everyone has one Smile. What did you have for breakfast? Oatmeal with apples + glass of water seams like a good choice for this morning. I would like to make sure that young students have a wonderful opportunity to come and train with us. Your parents provide you with food, clothes and place to sleep. All you need to do it go to school and train kung fu. Please say thank you to your parents. Make sure you say "Thank You" for what they are doing for you o.k.?

Our plan for today's class it to make sure all students brought their jumping ropes and we will measure their improvements. Hopefuly will break some records in the number of jumps today. Also I will meet with the students who took the test and tell them how they did and what is the next step. Older group can pick up their training equipment and start using them. On top of them of course lots of other thing. Please remind me what I promised for Monday ok? Smile Whatever that is we will do. Smile Our plan was always to have a Web Site thanks to which we were able to pass the information to the students. Few minutes ago we recieved a phone call from Sanjin Alisa who after reading our post is coming over tonight to pick up his black uniform as well as other training materials, which came in the mail. Our site is workig and we are very happy to see it first hand. Leaving the home to warm up the gym and get ready for the class. See everyone at 5:15 p.m ....  Great class everyone. Aaron, Elden and Tom Butrym recieved their training sets. Chris Pajor, Rafal Wilk and Sanjin Alisa still need to get theirs. Gentelmen please contact me when you get a chance at 313 530 0209 to set up the days and times. Younger group had an excelent training as well with spining back kicks. Some students already have it. The best execution so far was by Kacper Wojtowicz but there are few students who are right behind him. I was told that Philip was able to do 31 jumps on the jumping rope. Natalia Huk did over a hundred breaking the school record at her age group. Her brother Daniel confirmed that information. Congratulations to all the students who are training and improving at home. This is wonderful. Now I wish you a good night, get some rest and I will see you all on Wednesday. Of course keep checking our web site for up to the minute information on what is going on at our class. Good night.
